Thank you for this invitation which both Marion and I will join. Joan was a very popular member of our Macular Group in Shrewsbury, indeed if not a 'Founder Member' she was certainly a very early member. Unfortunately, GDPR instructions from our Head Office meant that we had to destroy most of our paper records so we cannot be sure. Both Marion and I were very fond of Joan, charming and stoic when with us, and a wonderful example of dignity in her disability. We shall long remember her. With every good wish for you all.
